I think that Mary Shelley has a negative outlook on Science because she has this guy make a monster from science. The result of this science experiment people have died. Victors life could be ruined, also he has to be causes no more of the people close to him get killed. I think that she is showing in her story that science can be a disastrous thing.

I believe that Mary Shelley has a negative outlook on science because she shows throughout the novel how creating the creature ended up being a huge mistake. The creature not only threatens Victor, but the rest of his loved ones. The creature ultimately winds up murdering a few of the characters in the book which shows how science can be dangerous depending on how you use it.

I think overall the book portrays science as being a negative thing because the monster has the a very grotesque look and has murder people and will murder again if he has too. But I think that Mary Shelly has a person did not have a totally negative look on science because in the book had Victor stood by his creation instead of abandoning and disowning it. Had he accepted the creature science could have easily been portayed as a wonderful and safe thing instead of a horrid and dangerous practice.

In my opinion, Shelley tries to portray science as potentially dangerous and destructive with the negative representation she gives it. Victor's creature, which was an act of science, was not handled properly, leading to it becoming an enemy of mankind, killing multiple innocent people throughout the book. This serves as a prime example of what I believe was Shelley's view, which is that, while knowledge is power, humans should not venture too deep into unknown fields, because if they do, they risk endangering many bystanders.

I think Mary Shelley shows the power of science as destructive, and uses the monster as a symbol. She does this by making the monster an evil being that causes destruction who is made by science. Another way she shows science as destructive is by the way Victor basically goes insane after being affected by his knowledge and creations of science.

I believe there are both positive and negative impacts caused by science. However, it seems that Mary Shelley thought scientific power had an overall negative impact during her time because the entirety of the book is about how a mad scientist had brought a horrific monster to life with the power of science. Victor had suffered through several negative instances in the name of science such as isolation during his studies and constant fear after its creation. While Mary Shelley found science fascinating, powerful and dangerous, it would most likely be stated that she had a negative opinion about it looking back at examples from her book.

I think that Mary Shelley is saying that the power of science is very strong. That making a creature like this can be very dangerous and she kind of has a negative view on the power of science. Victor wanted to create the retire so bad billy then when Frankenstein was made he ran and hid. Pretty much because of the power of science there is a unatural creature in the real world.

I think Mary Shelley has a positive and negative view on science during her time. Positive because she wrote the book based on people actually trying to make creatures like Frankenstein's. Although the story plot is mostly negative with the monster killing William, and threatening to kill Victor's family if he did not make him a partner.

I think that Mary Shelley has a negative view on science because the word monster usually has a negative connotation and bad things usually go wrong when the monster is around such as William and Henry Clerval being killed. She also writes Victor as not being able to handle his own creation, and by that she's saying that science is more powerful than many people believed.
